Scott Stansbury
I started my adventure in photography when the Cannon AE1 was introduced in 1976! It excited me with its functionalities and opened my eyes to a new way to see the world.
Over the many years, I perfected my skills and started venturing into the world. This involved traveling throughout the country, photographing people, places, artifacts, animals and landscapes. I enjoy the candid shots as well as the staged and I have received rave reviews of my work. Through the years I have sold many of my works and I have been published in magazines and book covers. Other works have been published are on business websites, e-commerce, corporate events, weddings, TV commercials and so much more.
Two of the tenents that I live by are:
- There is AWAYS time to do it right!
- If it’s worth doing, do it BETTER!
When clients come to me they will not be rushed. I take the time to ensure the lighting is right. The poses are perfect. And the people being photographed are relaxed and having fun. Any photo session should be a fun experience. So many photographers are in a hurry to quickly get the shots and go onto the next client. Your time and experience with me is my focus and passion. True customer service is my dedication to you.
Some of the other passions that I have are taking photography to the next level. Transferring a picture into pure art. The camera only captures what it is pointed at, however when looking through the lens and transforming what I see into art is what it is most important. Any person can take a photo, but when it is displayed in front of others they will not see it in the same way. Within someone, I want my art to provoke feelings with emotions. Not just something to simply look at.
In the specialty world, I use different mediums in photography sessions. Using the mediums of ultraviolet light, body painting and projection of abstract images onto the body I have transformed people into real works of art. These shoots can be very intensive and take many hours. Again it goes back to the tenants above. Making that perfect shot to provoke feelings and emotions within someone.
My motto is to be anything but that of the norm. I want it to be special to each individual and the person looking upon the art that is before them. For when those emotions fill you, I have succeeded in presenting art before you.
